Nanjing: a city of rich history, scenery, culture, and excitement. The literal translation of the name being “South Capital”, this city has been the capital on many occasions, as far back as the Eastern Wu dysnasty in the 3rd century to most recently in the 20th century for the Republic of China. Needless to say, with a history this long there are many places to see where you can look back on the centuries.
Nanjing in my mind is a must-see for all. With modern skyscrapers and history throughout the city, it really is captivating. As we went in November, the city was in the midst of autumn; with beautiful colors and reasonable temperatures. A perfect time to visit. We were only there for 3 days this time, and saw as much as we could. Nanjing is a city that I’m sure I will return to; and I hope these photos will inspire you to go as well.
